Body Positivity Movement Delusions, Health Crisis, and Victory of Ugliness Over Beauty

The articles below attempt to discuss the complex and sensitive issue of changing attitudes to our bodies, self-image, beauty standards, and the importance of appearance and health-conscious habits.

According to Wikipedia at least, body positivity is a social movement that promotes a positive view of all bodies, regardless of size, shape, skin tone, gender, and physical abilities. Proponents focus on the appreciation of the functionality and health of the human body, instead of its physiological appearance.

At first glance, it sounds like a movement that is designed to make people feel comfortable with their bodies and feel good about themselves which seems like a nice proposition.  However, in practice this movement is causing very serious damage to people’s, especially women’s mental and physical health, it ruins reasonable standards of beauty and undermines relationships and social norms that have sustained human society for centuries.

BODY POSITIVITY AND HEALTH CRISIS

Interestingly enough, most of the images online that accompany body positivity discussions show openly ugly and grossly obese women of diverse racial backgrounds and short height who pretend to be happy about themselves.  They are trying to send a message: “Look how happy I am despite being fat, ugly, or both – I am self-confident and you, another ugly, fat, misshaped woman with your x-shaped legs and cankles should also feel good about yourself”.

For starters, the American population is already grossly obese.

https://www.tfah.org/report-details/state-of-obesity-2023/#:~:text=Nationally%2C%2041.9%20percent%20of%20adults,in%20urban%20and%20suburban%20areas.

On average 42 % of Americans are obese,  among Black Americans the share of obese people is 50% and among Latinos 45%

Some Americans have bad genes that predispose them for obesity but they also amplify their obesity problems with sugar intense and fat intense diets, lack of exercise and unhealthy habits and lifestyle.

Those who might have had good metabolism to begin with, become obese due to atrocious eating habits indulging themselves with high sugar content meals, drinking coke and eating pizzas and fast food. This applies to both women and men and all racial backgrounds, although Asian Americans appear to have better eating habits than the rest of us on average and thus significantly lower obesity rates.

With obesity come multiple health problems like diabetes, strokes and heart attacks, liver and kidney diseases, cancers of all kinds, dementia and other mental issues.

No wonder we lost a million people to covid – with serious examination probably most of those who died of covid complications were obese.

No wonder health services-related government expenses exceed any other budget expenditures!

Obesity causes enormous damage to the physical and mental health of Americans and with this alarming trend suddenly comes a body positivity movement that makes obese people feel good about themselves instead of being extremely alarmed and taking action to lose weight and adopt a healthy lifestyle!

OBESITY VS. ANOREXIA; BODY POSITIVITY WITCH HUNT AGAINST SKINNY WOMEN

Currently,  40 percent of Americans are obese, compared with the 4 percent who meet the criteria for anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, or binge-eating disorder.

You can’t even begin to compare the social costs of obesity to those of anorexia: obesity is a lot more prevalent in our society than anorexia and causes a lot more damage than anorexia. Healthcare costs related to obesity-related disorders dwarf healthcare costs related to treating anorexia.

It doesn’t mean anorexia should be ignored, but it attracted disproportionate and very negative attention from the body positivity movement. While approving the message that being fat is ok, the body positivity movement viciously bullies naturally thin women that they brand to be underweight and anorexic.  The fashion industry banned many naturally thin models from ruining their careers under the pretext that they sent the wrong message to young girls. The body positivity movement normalizes ugliness and obesity as well as masculinity in women while attacking traits like being delicate and tender in a feminine way that used to be considered attractive in the past.  In addition to not addressing the obesity problem, feminists who inspired the body positivity movement, shame women into gaining muscle and working out to look more like men because they want to erase all differences between the two genders. They extended the premise that women should work the same jobs as men and have the same rights as men in the esthetics and body image sphere. This new aesthetics of the strong woman image destroys natural femininity, makes these masculine women more aggressive, unattractive, even ugly both appearance wise and personality wise. This phenomenon leads to conflict with other women, with men, break down in relationships and above all loneliness and suppressed desperation among women who bought the new strong woman esthetics from feminists thinking it somehow will make them more marketable.

Going back to anorexia:

Yes, anorexia is a problem that deserves attention and anorexic girls should get all the necessary medical and psychological help, and yes, no one should starve themselves to death to look “good” or get a modeling job. However, it’s important to distinguish between naturally thin women and those intentionally starving because of mental illness – can’t lump them all together under the “anorexic” label!  And most importantly body positivity movement is being unfair to thin women while dangerously normalizing obesity, ugliness and masculinity in women .

BODY POSITIVITY FOR THE SAKE OF DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION:   UGLY WHITE PEOPLE SHOULD NOT BE THE ONLY ONES FEELING GOOD ABOUT THEIR OBESE MALSHAPED DEFECTIVE BODIES:  LETS INCLUDE UGLY PEOPLE OF COLOR AND UGLY LGBTQ TOO! https://www.forbes.com/sites/jenniferpalumbo/2022/05/12/how-the-body-positive-movement-doesnt-encourage-obesity-but-inclusion/?sh=2ee965e01737

Rather than applying rigorous 1990s beauty standards for female fashion models in the fashion industry and making sure that fashion models of any race and ethnicity comply with those strict standards to be role models for the young generation, “body positivity” and “self-love” activists are trying to sell their harmful movement to minorities and woke liberals as part of the “diversity and inclusion” scam that is destroying merit-based society in all other industries and especially a government level.

For example, “body positivity” as applied to diversity and inclusion is trying to say that in the black community it is more “normal” and “common” for women to be large size and more curvy so plus size black models should be promoted at the expense of skinny black models and models of other ethnicities. This is a very harmful idea, especially for the black community that on average already suffers more from diabetes, heart disease, certain cancers, and other deceases specifically related to obesity.  If it is more “common” for black women to be large size, it is certainly not normal and not healthy and is unfortunately caused by bad eating habits pervasive in the inner cities.  Being large or obese or fat should be a reason for concern, not a source of pride put on display in fashion magazines!  There are plenty of beautiful and very delicate tall Sudanese and Ethiopian style black models that are very popular in Europe and along with local thin black models should be the ones on the pages of fashion magazines and walking the runway, not the “natural” plus size monstrosities!  In the Latino community traditional image of a voluptuous shorter female should not be used for promotion to young generation given young generation fast food high sugar diets and lack of exercise – include skinny Latina models not the big ones !   Asians have the least reason for concern, but still, Asian models should remain petite and may be taller than before to maintain better eating habits and lifestyles.

In short, the diversity of beautiful women in the fashion industry should be welcome and they all should meet the same classic Barbie standards and be models for young girls but the diversity of ugly fat or masculine-looking fashion models sends the wrong message to promote unnatural and unhealthy beauty standards.

WHAT ABOUT THE MEN?

For some very interesting reason to be studied, the beauty standards for male bodies have not changed in any way – they still want a strong muscular look, toned and tall men with six packs to promote the image of a healthy and handsome man.  No one is trying to promote fat men to be role models for already fat population! No one is trying to promote feeble-looking anorexic or flabby-looking men or even just short men to be role models for the proper body image!

There also isn’t much discussion about body positivity for men in general!  Do men even matter anymore? Let the audience decide for themselves and study that interesting subject.

WHAT ABOUT LGBTQ, NON-BINARY AND TRANSSEXUALS?

Even though they are probably more popular in the fashion industry than any other group, and yet for some inexplicable reason that deserves some research, they are not even being promoted within the context of the “body positivity” movement. Interestingly enough they seem to have less of an obesity problem than any other community because they are more focused on taking good care of themselves than any other group!  Probably, because this group is more self-conscious than the others, they are more immune to the harmful effects of body positivity movement and can not be easily convinced that it’s okay to be fat or ugly. Nevertheless, especially transsexuals are still trying to impose their concept of who they are on the rest of our society which causes social turmoil that at least is not based on unhealthy bodily image but based on gender confusion which is more of a mental dilemma for our society than a body image crisis.

IS BEAUTY IN THE EYE OF THE BEHOLDER? THE BODY POSITIVITY MOVEMENT AS UNIFYING FORCE FOR UGLY PEOPLE TO RESIST HOSTILE SOCIETAL NORMS

Is there such a thing as an objective standard of beauty to begin with? Why not just leave people alone to decide for themselves and act accordingly with their own bodies and not even focus on the appearance at all?

Wouldn’t it be nice if society could function like that?

In reality, we are all raised with certain standards of beauty that we apply not only to our dating scene but to how we perceive others in all kinds of relationships: even employers who are really not supposed to consider the appearance of a job candidate and should look only at their resume (which by the way can also be somewhat fake), subconsciously still do and pretend like they don’t, especially if they have to see that person every day at the workplace. Even if they are not grossly obese, there are sometimes objectively ugly people whose appearance is so off-putting, that coworkers and the boss just can not stomach dealing with them even if  both sides are trying to be professional. As a result, ugly candidates don’t get  a job or get cold shoulder at work from coworkers and the boss. What about friendships? Try to disprove the sad phenomenon that ugly people don’t have friends or have only ugly friends to support each other against a society that resents ugliness. Pretty people tend to stick with pretty people except some selfish pretty girls who use some ugly acquaintances to look better on the pictures (don’t know why ugly ones agree to be in such contrasting pictures )…

No matter who says what, there are indeed objective standards of beauty in our society – which may slightly vary between racial groups and social classes but overall we can all tell who is fat and who is skinny, who is good-looking and who is ugly – we mostly judge people secretly in our mind to be polite and avoid conflicts, but sometimes we gossip about this and sometimes during some dramatic cat fights and silly altercations our judgment comes out in the open with insults related to appearance.

It seems that the true purpose of the body positivity movement is to unite all the ugly and fat people against existing beauty standards and social norms to change beauty standards and social norms to those the ugly and fat people are comfortable with.  Basically, rather than trying to be better, to lose weight, to take better care of themselves to get closer to existing standards of beauty, ugly and fat body positivity movement members want to force the rest of us to accept them the way they are ; to PRETEND like they are not fat and/or ugly, and even change our own standards to start believing that fat or ugly is actually beautiful and to try to get fat or ugly to now comply with new standard they imposed on us!

All it takes is to ask formerly naturally thin fashion models who forced themselves to gain weight in response to bullying from woke body positivity activists!

APPEARANCE VS OTHER TALENTS

Fat and ugly people often have multitude of talents enabling them to shine in so many ways other than impressing others with their appearance. Plenty of professionals – doctors, computer engineers, attorneys, politicians, singers, artists, actors – you name it are fat, ugly or simply have a very unremarkable appearance; In fact, most people – probably 90% of people have unremarkable appearances at best. Nevertheless, they are very successful, often more successful than their beautiful counterparts – successful in their careers, in business, and in relationships as well!  However, these successful people with unremarkable humble appearances are not trying to pretend like they are beautiful people, they are not trying to join the fashion industry or be role models for how others should look!    They are just minding their own business and quietly succeed in life. They are not trying to force others to accept them the way they are – rather they adjust to how others perceive them and that makes them more successful! People do not have to derive their self esteem from their appearance alone or even at all – they just have to be realistic about it and base their self–esteem on multitude of other quality features they definitely possess if their appearance is not one of them! And it WORKS!

Body positivity is based on one terrifying premise – that you can by force make another person perceive you the way you want to be perceived; there is something draconian about this whole idea and about the shaming methods the body positivity movement uses against those who disagree with it. The body positivity movement essentially says: “I’m going to sit on your face with my fat ass suffocating you to death until you admit that  I am beautiful and give up everything you previously believed in about beauty and ugliness”

CONCLUSION: IF WE DON’T WANT TO BE SUFFOCATED BY FAT PEOPLE SITTING ON OUR FACES IF WE WANT TO BECOME OR REMAIN HEALTHY IF WE WANT OUR SOCIETY TO BE MORE BEAUTIFUL AND HAVE A REAL BASIS TO FEEL GOOD ABOUT OURSELVES WE MUST MAINTAIN RIGOROUS BEAUTY STANDARDS THAT MAKE US EVOLVE, NOT REGRESS!

THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG WITH EUGENICS IF WE ALL APPLY IT TO OURSELVES REGARDLESS OF OUR RACIAL OR SOCIAL BACKGROUND!    THEREFORE, WE MUST RESIST THE DEGENERATE BODY POSITIVITY EXTREMISTS WHO ARE TRYING TO AGGRESSIVELY IMPOSE THEIR  SELFISHLY SICK AND DESTRUCTIVE VIEWS ON OUR SOCIETY ALREADY VULNERABLE  TO MALIGNANT EXPANSION OF THE BODY POSITIVITY MOVEMENT MAKING OUR POPULATION UGLIER AND UGLIER, UNHEALTHIER AND UNHEALTHIER, AND INCREASINGLY DELUSIONAL WITH WRONG EXPECTATIONS. DON’T LET THEM CHANGE YOUR MIND AND TRUST YOUR OWN ASSESSMENT ABOUT YOURSELF AND OTHERS!
