“Civil War” The Movie: Is This The Way The Cookie Crumbles

ENOUGH OF APOCALYPTIC DOOMSDAY NONSENSE – SAYS MAINSTREAM MEDIA, WHAT DO WE SAY IN RESPONSE?

DOOMSDAY MOVIES ABOUT AMERICAN FUTURE

Most of the Hollywood movies about the future of America are very dark: something or someone is always destroying our future—environmental catastrophe, aliens, domestic conflict, major epidemics, and so on and so forth. It seems like most of the motion picture industry leaders are convinced that just like horror sells really well, doomsday movies about an apocalyptic future sell even better, so why not keep making them?

Mainstream media are not criticizing this approach when it comes to environmental catastrophe doomsday movies or alien invasion doomsday movies, but appear unhappy about a civil war doomsday movie that just came out. Why?

Beyond political parties and liberal vs. conservative divide there is something bigger and more menacing at play that speeds up our fall into abyss: it’s the demise of entire western civilization – “Victims of Compassion” book covers the root causes of it and provides some recipes for saving western civilization ; read and learn, get surprised, get busy ! 

ENVIRONMENTAL APOCALYPSE AND ALIEN INVASION MOVIES

Doomsday scenario movies dedicated to the environment are designed to be perceived as a call to action to “save the environment” and “fight climate change,” which supports the environmental hysteria mainstream agenda. These films depict our planet turning into a post-industrial wasteland without oxygen, with monsters and zombies scavenging the Mad Max-style landscapes, and robots being in charge of a dystopian society. Basically, these movies are trying to justify the destruction of the oil and gas industry that tends to donate to Republicans instead of Democrats. Some of these movies are apprehensive about AI, which might or might not help Democrats. Alien invasion movies are attempting to demonstrate the importance of unity behind the administrative state government to stave off a “foreign” invasion—another subconscious message of unity that is convenient for the mainstream to suppress opposition. In addition, alien invasion movies tend to depict aliens as superior but evil beings that take full advantage of human inferiority to them. That message, approved by the mainstream, is even more insidious: it demeans us all, targeting our self-esteem and our individual autonomy, suggesting that as weak and imperfect humans, we lack the strength and vision to do and think what we want on our own and therefore should be obedient and never challenge the establishment.

CIVIL WAR DOOMSDAY MOVIE CRITICIZED BY THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA BECAUSE IT UNDERMINES THEIR MESSAGE OF CONFORMITY TO OBEY THE ESTABLISHMENT

When it comes to a civil war movie, mainstream media are very unhappy about it: https://apple.news/AkAk-po_PRGKtmQ_lPmzizA. This CNN article, written by CNN analyst John Blake, calls for looking back at movies like Casablanca or poems by 19th-century author Walt Whitman that carried a message of unity in the face of war or various crises. Mr. Blake also criticizes Trump’s “American carnage” approach and praises Obama and Reagan’s message of optimism and positivity.

Would Mr. Blake praise Trump’s message of unity against criminals, radical leftists like BLM, Antifa, Pro-Palestinians, or unity against undocumented aliens? Would Mr. Blake support the former president’s optimism in rolling back the expansion of government bureaucracy caused by the current administration, or optimism about eliminating anti-business regulations, or conducting reforms that would stop affirmative action and restore equality for all, including white people?

IMPOSSIBLE UNITY

The point being—unity can only be based on the commonality of interest between certain groups of people; and in this multi-racial, multi-cultural society with different social groups competing for resources, the unity of all is impossible unless we get invaded by China or Russia, etc. Other than that, 330 million people living in the U.S. belong to various social groups that have competing and often irreconcilable interests. All these social and racial groups must be proportionately represented based on their numbers, influence, and contribution to society.

Civil War happens when certain groups of people, that may count in millions or tens of millions, are poorly represented in the government when they feel marginalized by the establishment and get persecuted for rising up against a regime that is hostile to them. We saw a tiny glimpse of it on January 6, 2021.

Rather than putting the electoral process on hold, not rushing to conclusions, and hastily dismissing all election-related lawsuits, the system should have allowed the “aggrieved” party to fully litigate all claims of fraud no matter how long it was going to take. Courts that rushed to dismiss dozens of lawsuits under various pretexts without allowing the Plaintiffs to gather all the evidence and properly present it made an impression that the court system was rigged in favor of a “winning” party. Had the court system been truly independent, they would have stopped the process of announcing who won until all the lawsuits challenging election results were fully resolved by transparent due process litigation.

The year 2000 was a good example of proper handling of a challenged election.

The year 2020 was a good example of how not to do it. In a true democracy, there must be a transparent and legitimate way of challenging an election at every level, that requires thorough review of all evidence and testimony of all relevant witnesses without one month deadline and without RUSHING to inaugurate someone who appears to be a winner to mainstream media.

Mishandled electoral challenge process in 2020 resulted in tens of millions of people feeling marginalized and disenfranchised. On top of that thousands of protesters who voiced their discontent about being marginalized outside of the Capitol building on Jan 6 were persecuted for exercising their
First Amendment rights and got framed for “domestic terrorism” . These type of actions by the administrative state that accuses the other side of being authoritarian while persecuting the opposition are making the civil war scenario more feasible – not the imagination on marketing effort by Hollywood producers! Mr. Blake at CNN loves to criticize the former president, but is completely oblivious of the interests of at least 50% of the population that are inclined to support him because the party that CNN represents is not doing a good job and hasn’t done a good job ever since it
came to power questionable means.

HOW TO PREVENT CONDITIONS FOR REAL CIVIL WAR

No one wants a civil war because even during a current crisis we have more stability and prosperity than we would have gotten during such a major conflict. Perhaps after the war, winners would gain something concrete and losers would be devastated like it was in 1860s /70s but the human costs of such a catastrophic event today and the impact on the world would defy imagination even compared to what happened in the 19 th century in the aftermath of the last domestic conflict U.S. experienced. Therefore, its in the best interest of the administrative state that is in charge now to provide enough
transparency of its inner workings including electoral process, to allow reforms requiring voter ids and minimizing voting by mail susceptible to fraud for the purpose of legitimizing the next elections in the eyes of all – including those who felt marginalized after the last election!

No matter how emotional people may feel about politics or their leaders, all people regardless of their political affiliation should be given enough reason to believe in the integrity of the system to make sure they accept even the results they don’t like.

In order to do that, there must be a very well organized, fair, not biased, very meticulous, transparent and efficient system for challenging every election.

If such system is in place, no reasonable person will feel marginalized to the point of wanting a civil war!

As to the “unreasonable” people who refuse to listen to any evidence either way and just insist on their own point of view – they are not going to be numerous enough to stir trouble.

In a true democracy the establishment is not in charge and is unable to suppress the opposition. In a true democracy there is no one party monopoly over the media and there is no censorship. In a true democracy all people feel represented enough to trust the system even when their party loses an
election or another party implements policies they don’t like – because in a true democracy less numerous ethnic, political, religious and social groups still get proportionate share of power and resources. Therefore, when we become a true democracy, there won’t be any risk of civil war and doomsday movies about it won’t be relevant !
